Sync your email and calendar to automatically populate Clarify.

Clarify is designed to eliminate manual data entry from day one. The fastest way to get started is by connecting your email and calendar — letting Clarify do the heavy lifting for you.

When you connect your Google or Microsoft account, Clarify automatically builds a rich network of relationships.

Syncing your email and calendar

When you connect your email and calendar, Clarify instantly:

  • Creates and enriches People and Company records from your entire communication history
  • Automatically links contacts to their companies, giving you a complete view of every relationship
  • Enriches records with data from trusted sources in a waterfall structure so that you don't have to

Quick setup

Connect your account in seconds:

  1. Go to Settings > Email & Calendar
  2. Choose Connect Google or Connect Microsoft

Email permissions and sharing

Default sync settings for Clarify to allow you to share what's important with peace of mind.

Connecting your email and calendar to Clarify unlocks a lot of the power of the platform. Once connected, here are the defaults that we have set across different product features:

Emails

  • Subject lines of all emails are visible by default.
  • Email bodies are only visible to those who sent an email, received an email or were CC'd.

Meetings

  • Meeting objects are created for every calendar event.
  • By default calendar events marked private will not appear in Clarify.
  • Additionally, calendar events that do not have participants on them will not be ingested as it is assumed these are placeholder or other personal events.
  • Meeting recordings by default are only visible to those who attended the meeting or were on the calendar invite.

All other data inside Clarify, including comments, deals, companies, and lists are default open and visible to the rest of the team.

Sharing preferences

Clarify understands that different communications require different levels of privacy. Today we do the following:

  • Limited access: Email logs and meeting recordings are only shared with individuals who either were on the email chain or participated in the call.
  • Full access: People, company, deals and metadata associated to these objects are all shared by default so your team can collaborate.

Syncing your Slack account

Connect your Slack account for enhanced Notifications.

This will enable sending notifications regarding records you are subscribed to directly to Slack. Get Slack messages with insight into record comments, user mentions, recorded updates and deal over updates. For more information on the integration set-up review the Slack Integration documentation.
