Overview
Connect your HubSpot CRM with Clarify to seamlessly sync your contacts, companies, and deals from HubSpot to Clarify, ensuring your Clarify instance stays up-to-date with your HubSpot data.
What gets synced
At a high level, we will sync the following by default:
Contacts/People: Names, email addresses, and custom fields
Companies: Company names, domains, descriptions, and custom fields
Deals: Names, amounts, stages, close dates, and custom fields (optional)
Relationships: Connections between contacts, companies, and deals
For a full list of what gets synced by default, look at the bottom of this page.
Key features
One-way synchronization
Changes made in HubSpot automatically update in Clarify
Updates made in Clarify will not sync back to HubSpot
Bi-directional sync is on the roadmap
Complete data history
Initial setup imports your historical HubSpot data
Ongoing updates keep Clarify in sync with HubSpot changes
Field mapping
Standard fields are automatically mapped between systems
Custom fields can be mapped to match your specific needs
Setting up your integration
Before you start this process, it's a best practice to ensure you have custom fields set up in Clarify than can catch the key fields you need to import from HubSpot.
Navigate to Integrations in your Clarify dashboard
Select HubSpot from available integrations
You'll trigger the integration wizard; follow the steps for granting permission from HubSpot
Choose which objects to sync (companies, people, deals) and map your custom fields
Save your configuration to start the sync
Sync timing
Real-time updates (within seconds)
Key fields update immediately when changed in HubSpot:
Contacts: Email, additional emails, first/last name
Companies: Domain, additional domains, name, description
Deals: Name, description, close date, amount, stage
Delayed updates
Changes to other fields may take up to 10 minutes to appear
Initial data import can take several hours depending on data volume
Important notes
Field mapping requirements
The count of options must be identical for proper mapping
Identifying synced records
Records synced from HubSpot will have a HubSpot ID field in Clarify
Add this field to your view to easily identify synced records
Known limitations
Deal-Company associations
HubSpot allows multiple companies per deal, while Clarify supports only one
When multiple companies exist, the most recent association takes precedence
Deal owners
The owner field will not sync* from HubSpot to Clarify
You'll need to manually assign owners in Clarify
*this may change in the future
Unique fields
Fields below are unique in Clarify. If multiple HubSpot contacts share an email, only one record will be created in Clarify.
Contact email addresses
Company domains
Deal names
Date handling
Time zone information may be lost when syncing date fields
This can occasionally result in dates appearing one day different between systems
Maintaining your integration
Adding new fields
Create the field in Clarify first
Return to Integration settings to map the new field
Save changes to update the configuration
Historical data will automatically backfill for new fields (unless the record in Clarify was updated since last sync with HubSpot)
