Clarify uses AI throughout the product to surface context, draft content, and keep your CRM current — without replacing your judgment. Some features run automatically in the background; others generate suggestions you review and approve.
This article covers what each AI feature does, whether it's automatic or requires action, and what it costs in credits.
Credits
Most AI features consume credits from your workspace's monthly balance. A few run for free regardless of your balance.

When credits run out, AI features pause until your next billing cycle. Meeting recording is never credit-gated — the notetaker continues joining regardless.
Meeting intelligence
Clarify analyzes your meetings to help you prepare and follow up.
Before meetings: Clarify generates a meeting prep summary — recent emails, action items from prior meetings, and relevant deal context — and delivers it to you before the call starts. Costs 30 credits per meeting.
After meetings: Clarify generates a written summary of what was discussed and extracts any action items as tasks. Costs 30 credits for the summary and 10 credits per task created.
Configure which meeting types trigger summaries under Settings → Intelligence.
Deal intelligence
Clarify generates a rolling summary of each deal — pulling from emails, meetings, and notes — so you can get up to speed on any deal without reading the full history. Costs 20 credits per deal summary.
View deal summaries on the deal record or ask Rep to summarize a deal for you.
AI Fields
Build custom fields on any record type that Clarify fills in automatically using AI. Use AI Fields to score leads, extract information from emails or meeting transcripts, or classify records.
Each AI Field is powered by a prompt you write. Use the { insert menu to give the AI access to meetings, emails, and other record data — without this, the AI only sees existing field values.
Credit cost varies by field (3–30 credits per autofill). You can configure AI Fields to regenerate automatically when a record is created or updated.
Set up AI Fields from the Fields tab on any list view. Click + Add Field and toggle on AI Field.
Field Updates
Clarify surfaces suggested updates to your deal fields — stage changes, close date shifts, or other field values — based on what it reads in your communications.
Field Updates are suggestions, not automatic changes. Clarify will never update a field without you reviewing and approving the suggestion first. You'll see pending suggestions on the record and can accept or dismiss each one individually.
Costs 10 credits per suggestion generated.
Deal detection
Clarify monitors your emails and meetings and flags conversations that look like new sales opportunities. When it identifies one, it suggests creating a deal — with a draft name, stage, and linked contacts already filled in.
Deal detection fires only when no existing deal already covers the conversation. Review and approve suggestions from the Deals view.
Costs 20 credits per deal created.
Background enrichment
Clarify automatically fills in company and contact data — domains, employee ranges, LinkedIn URLs, locations — using trusted data sources. This runs in the background for any record with enough identifying information (usually a domain for companies, an email for people).
Background enrichment is free and doesn't consume credits.
Rep
Rep is Clarify's AI assistant, available via the chat icon in the sidebar. Ask Rep to find records, summarize deals, draft emails, run searches, and more. Rep can read your emails, meetings, notes, and CRM data to answer questions in context.
Rep includes internet search by default — you can ask it about companies, people, or market context without leaving Clarify. Rep is free — it doesn't consume credits.
Limitations
AI features pause when your credit balance reaches zero. Meeting recording continues unaffected.
AI Fields can only read meetings and emails when you explicitly add them as variables in the prompt. Plain-language references to "recent meetings" won't give the AI access — use the
{insert menu.Rep's context is limited to records your account has access to. If meeting visibility is restricted to participants only, Rep won't see meetings you weren't on.
Field Updates and deal detection suggestions are workspace-wide — there's no per-user filter.
