Kondo integration with Clarify
Sync your LinkedIn conversations from Kondo directly into Clarify using Zapier. This integration automatically creates contact records, enriches them with company data, and logs conversation history as activity in your CRM.
What you'll need
Kondo account with inbox access
Zapier account (free or paid)
Clarify CRM account
Apollo account (optional, for email enrichment)
Setting up the integration
Step 1: Configure Kondo webhook
Navigate to your Kondo inbox
Go to integrations > webhooks
Create a new webhook called "Clarify message sync"
Set the trigger type to:
Manual: Sync conversations only when you click the sync button
Streaming: Automatically sync every LinkedIn message as it arrives
Enter the Zapier webhook URL (you'll get this in step 2)
Configure the body data to include conversation details
Click save
Step 2: Create Zapier automation
Set up the webhook trigger
In Zapier, create a new zap
Choose "Webhooks by Zapier" as the trigger
Select "Catch Hook" as the trigger event
Copy the webhook URL and paste it into your Kondo webhook configuration
Add data enrichment (optional)
If you have Apollo or another data enrichment service:
Add a "Webhooks by Zapier" action
Choose "POST" as the method
Configure the Apollo API call:
URL:
people/match
Include first name, last name, and LinkedIn handle
Set "reveal personal email" to true
Add your Apollo API key
Structure data with AI (optional)
Add "OpenAI" or "ChatGPT" as an action
Provide the AI with:
LinkedIn conversation history
Contact information from Kondo
Email data from Apollo (if available)
Ask the AI to extract:
Company name
Company domain
Personal email address
Step 3: Create records in Clarify
Find or create company
Add "Clarify" as an action
Choose "Find Company"
Use the domain extracted by AI
Set to "Do not create if not found" to avoid data quality issues
Find or create contact
Add another "Clarify" action
Choose "Find Person"
Configure with:
Email address (from AI extraction)
First name and last name
LinkedIn handle
Company ID (if company was found)
Set to "Create if doesn't exist"
Log conversation history
Add "Clarify" action
Choose "Create Comment"
Set the comment title to "Latest LinkedIn Kondo message"
Include the full conversation history in the comment body
Add to tracking list
Add final "Clarify" action
Choose "Add to List"
Select or create a static list called "Kondo LinkedIn contacts"
This makes it easy to find and manage these imported contacts later
Step 4: Test the integration
In Kondo, navigate to a LinkedIn conversation
Click the "Sync conversation history" button or use Command+K > Sync
Check your Clarify CRM to verify:
Contact was created with correct information
Company was found or created (if applicable)
Conversation history appears as a comment
Contact was added to your tracking list
How to sync conversations
Manual sync method
Open the LinkedIn conversation in Kondo
Click "Sync conversation history" button
The conversation will be processed and added to Clarify
Keyboard shortcut method
Open the LinkedIn conversation in Kondo
Press Command+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (PC)
Type "sync" and press Enter
Automatic sync method
If you set your webhook to "streaming" mode, all LinkedIn messages will automatically sync to Clarify as they arrive.
Managing synced contacts
All contacts imported through this integration are automatically added to a list in Clarify called "Kondo LinkedIn contacts." You can use this list to:
Run outbound campaigns
Track follow-up activities
Clean up any data quality issues
Analyze LinkedIn conversation performance
Troubleshooting
Webhook not firing
Check that your Kondo webhook URL matches the Zapier webhook URL exactly
Verify the webhook is set to the correct trigger type (manual or streaming)
Test the webhook by syncing a conversation manually
Missing email addresses
This is normal for LinkedIn contacts. The integration uses AI to extract emails from:
Conversation history (if contacts mention their email)
Apollo data enrichment (if available)
Other data sources you configure
Company not found
The integration is set to not create companies automatically to maintain data quality. You can:
Manually create the company in Clarify
Modify the Zapier automation to force company creation for valid domains
Use the tracking list to clean up company associations later
