Access your Clarify CRM without leaving the tab you're in. The Chrome extension adds a side panel to LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Gmail, and Google Calendar, showing you relevant records as you work.

Install once, and the panel updates automatically as you navigate. When you're on a LinkedIn profile, it shows the person's Clarify record or prompts you to add them. In Gmail, it lists every external participant in the thread. In Calendar, it surfaces attendee records alongside your event.

Install the extension

  1. Open the Clarify extension on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.

  2. After installing, the Clarify icon appears in your Chrome toolbar.

  3. Click the icon and sign in with your Clarify credentials. You'll stay signed in for at least 30 days.

The extension updates automatically - you don't need to reinstall when new versions ship.

Open and close the panel

Three ways to open the side panel:

  • Toolbar icon (most reliable) - Click the Clarify icon in your Chrome toolbar. Works on any supported page.

  • Right-click menu - Right-click anywhere on the page and select Open in Clarify.

  • In-page button on LinkedIn - An "Open in Clarify" button appears in the LinkedIn action bar next to Connect and Message. This works on the first open, but can be unreliable after you close and reopen the panel due to a Chrome API limitation. Use the toolbar icon or right-click if the button doesn't respond.

The panel switches context automatically as you navigate between supported pages.

On LinkedIn

When you open a LinkedIn profile:

  • Existing record - The panel shows the person's Clarify data, including

  • associated deals, recent meetings, and contact details. Click View in Clarify to open the full record.

  • New contact - Click Add to Clarify, select a list, and the person is imported.

The panel also loads in LinkedIn messaging threads - including for people not yet in Clarify, so you can add them without leaving the conversation.

On Sales Navigator

The extension works on Sales Navigator search results and profiles. On a search results page, the panel loads all visible contacts - select one to view their Clarify record or add them

In Gmail

Open a Gmail thread and the panel shows the thread name and every external participant. Contacts already in Clarify show a checkmark. Click any participant to see their full Clarify record: company, job title, email addresses, labels, LinkedIn profile, and tabs for activity and email history.

For contacts not yet in Clarify, the panel prompts you to add them.

In Google Calendar

The extension recognizes attendees on calendar events and surfaces their Clarify records in the panel. For new contacts not yet in Clarify, the panel prompts you to add them — most attendees from your connected calendar will already be in your CRM.

Troubleshooting

Panel not loading on a LinkedIn profile

  1. Use the toolbar icon — it's more reliable than the in-page button.

  2. Hard refresh the page: Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) or Ctrl + F5 (Windows).

  3. Confirm you're on a supported page. LinkedIn profiles, LinkedIn messaging, Sales Navigator, Gmail, and Google Calendar are supported. Regular LinkedIn search results are not.

  4. Check that you're still logged in: click the toolbar icon and verify your account is shown.

"Configure" shows in Connected Apps

This is expected behavior. The status in Connected Apps doesn't change from "Configure" to "Connected" after setup — the extension is working normally.

Still not working after the steps above

  1. Update Chrome to the latest version.

  2. Update the extension: go to chrome://extensions/, enable Developer mode, and click Update.

  3. If the issue persists, contact support — don't repeat the same troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

Limitations

  • Supported pages: LinkedIn profiles and messaging, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gmail, Google Calendar. The extension doesn't activate on other websites.

  • The in-page LinkedIn button may not respond after the first open/close cycle. This is a known Chrome API limitation — the toolbar icon and right-click menu always work.

  • You can't add a company directly from a LinkedIn company page — the extension is people-centric on LinkedIn.
