A teammate who accepts an invite and lands in a workspace with nothing of their own in it has little reason to come back. This playbook covers sending the invite and the few steps that give them real work to do in their first session.
Why bring your team in
With your team in one workspace, every deal can have an owner, you can share a meeting with the person who needs it instead of forwarding notes, and each teammate who connects their email and calendar fills in the contacts and companies you work on together.
Invite them
Only workspace admins can invite people. If you are not an admin, ask one to send the invite.
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left of Clarify.
Click Invite members.
Enter one or more email addresses in the Emails field.
Click Send.
Inviting someone on another work domain adds that domain to your workspace Company domains automatically. Personal email domains are never added. Clarify treats everyone on a company domain as internal, which can change what syncs and what gets recorded, so check this before inviting an agency or contractor.
Give them a reason to come back
Do these in their first session, once they have accepted the invite.
Connect their own email and calendar. They open Connectors from the left sidebar and, under Personal, click the Google or Microsoft tile. Their own meetings and emails then sync into the workspace.
Turn on recording. Under Settings → Account → Email and meetings → Meeting recording, they set Auto-record to External only or All. If an admin has turned on Enforce for all members, the workspace setting applies instead.
Make them the Owner of the deals they work. Set them in the deal's Owner field and Clarify notifies them that they were assigned.
Share a recent meeting with them. Open the meeting, click Share at the top right, start typing their name under Add members, choose Viewer or Editor, and click Share. Sharing only reaches people who have already joined the workspace.
What they will see
By default, each new email or meeting is visible only to the people on it, unless someone shares it further. A meeting's title, time and participant list are visible to the whole workspace, but its recording, transcript, summary and notes are not.
A workspace admin can change this under Settings → Workspace → Email and meetings → Access, where Emails and Meetings each switch from Participants only to Everyone. The change applies from that moment on: emails and meetings already in Clarify keep the access they had.
