Email Rep at [email protected]

CC Rep on an email thread to get help scheduling, answer questions with your CRM context, and keep the conversation moving.

Written by Michael Simmons

CC [email protected] on any email thread and Rep joins the conversation. It uses what Clarify already knows about your customers and deals to answer, and it can help find a time and get the next meeting on the calendar. There's nothing to connect: Rep recognizes you by the email address you use to sign in to Clarify.

ℹ️ Emailing Rep is in closed beta. To request access for your workspace, email [email protected].

Bring Rep into a thread

  1. Add [email protected] to the To or CC line, sending from the address you sign in to Clarify with.

  2. Ask for what you need, for example "Rep, can you find a time for us next week?" or "What did we agree on our last call?"

  3. Rep replies to everyone on the thread.

You can also email [email protected] on its own to ask Rep something privately.

What happens after Rep replies

Once Rep has replied on a thread, it keeps an eye on it. When someone replies, including people outside your company, Rep responds if there's something for it to do, such as offering times or confirming a meeting. It skips messages that don't need an answer, like "thanks". It acts as the person who first brought it into the thread, using that person's calendar and access.

To take Rep out of a thread, remove [email protected] from the recipients before you reply.

Good to know

  • Everyone on the thread sees Rep's replies. That includes people outside your company, so don't ask Rep about anything private on a shared thread. Email [email protected] directly instead.

  • Anyone with a Clarify account can ask Rep. Each person's request uses their own workspace and access.

  • Rep uses your connected calendar for scheduling. Connect your calendar in Clarify first.

  • Your conversation with Rep is saved as a Rep chat in your workspace. Rep doesn't add the emails to your synced inbox. If you've connected your email account, your emails sync as they normally do.

If you're in more than one workspace

Rep needs to know which workspace to use. Set this up beforehand under Account → Preferences → Default workspace for Rep. If you haven't, Rep replies and asks you to choose.

Troubleshooting

Rep replied "Rep isn't turned on for this channel yet"

Emailing Rep isn't enabled for your workspace yet. Email [email protected] to request access.

Rep asked you to choose a workspace

You're a member of more than one workspace. Set a Default workspace for Rep (see above), then reply.

Rep didn't reply

Check that you sent from the address you sign in to Clarify with. If Rep has nothing useful to add, it may stay quiet. Ask it a direct question.
