Clarify is designed around a daily rhythm. This article shows you what to do - and what Clarify does automatically - throughout your workday.
Start your day: the Home page briefing
Open Clarify at the start of your day and check your Home page. It shows:
Ask Rep - a box at the top to ask Rep anything or hand it a job
Meetings - your meetings for the day, with the AI prep brief for the next one
Tasks - tasks that are due or overdue
Deals - your deals closing this month, largest first
Home is always current. When Clarify records a call, its summary and follow-up tasks show up as soon as they're generated.
Start with Rep: type "Prep me for my next meeting with Acme." into the box at the top of Home. Rep pulls together your history with that account, including emails, meeting notes, and transcripts.
What to act on:
Review the meeting brief for your first call of the day
Check for suggested updates on deals from your recent meetings
Clear any overdue tasks before they pile up
Before a meeting: prep in 2 minutes
Before each meeting with external attendees, Clarify prepares a meeting brief automatically. Find it on the Home page under your next meeting, or open the meeting record directly from your calendar.
A meeting brief is a short summary covering:
What the meeting is for
Who's attending and where they work
Your recent emails and meetings with them, plus any related deal and its open tasks
Using Rep for deeper prep: Ask Rep from the box at the top of Home or the Ask anything... box on any other page, press / to ask, or press Cmd + J (Ctrl + J on Windows) from anywhere in the app. Ask: "Prep me for my next meeting with [Company]." Rep pulls from your history with that account, including meeting transcripts and notes. Past chats are under Chats in the left sidebar, so pick up where you left off.
Note: Briefs are generated only for meetings with external attendees. For a first meeting with someone, the brief draws on public information about the attendees, and it gets richer as your email and meeting history with them grows.
During a call: let the bot run
Once auto-recording is on, Clarify's notetaker joins your calls without any action from you. Auto-recording is off until you or your admin pick a setting - Rep asks about it during your onboarding chat. To record a single meeting, turn on recording from the meeting record.
Nothing to do during the call. Clarify records, transcribes, and processes the summary in the background.
If the notetaker doesn't join, check two scenarios:
The meeting was excluded by your settings - Check Settings → Workspace → Email and meetings. If auto-record is set to External only, internal meetings aren't recorded. Private calendar events aren't captured unless Capture private meetings is turned on.
Clarify recognized the meeting but the notetaker never arrived - If the meeting appears under Meetings on Home with the correct time and attendees, but the notetaker didn't join, this is a bug. Contact support so we can investigate.
If a meeting has already started, enabling recording on it sends the notetaker to join right away. In the Clarify desktop app, Quick Record also captures an in-progress meeting that's on your screen - from the menu bar on Mac or the system tray on Windows. Quick Record isn't available in the web app.
After a meeting: review and follow up
Meeting summaries appear shortly after a call ends. Find them under Meetings on Home, or navigate to the meeting record directly. Calls with under 5 minutes of conversation don't get a summary.
What to check:
Summary accuracy - Scan the summary and action items. If it misses what matters for that kind of call, set the correct meeting type on the meeting, or edit the summary template for that meeting type in Settings → Workspace → Intelligence.
Suggested deal updates - Clarify may suggest updates to deal fields based on what was discussed. Review each suggestion and accept or dismiss it - Clarify doesn't apply these on its own.
Tasks - Action items from meetings with external attendees become tasks automatically, linked to the meeting and to its deal when the meeting has one. Reassign them, set due dates, or mark them done.
Ask Rep - Ask Rep about the meeting: "What did we agree to on the [Company] call?" or "Draft a follow-up email to [Name] about our last call." Rep reads meeting summaries, transcripts, and notes directly.
During the week: pipeline and inbox
Pipeline review
Go to Deals and scan your pipeline by stage and close date. For a quick view, ask Rep: "Build me a dashboard of my pipeline by stage."
Lists for focused work
Create a list (a saved filter) to work a specific segment - deals in a particular stage, contacts at companies with no activity, leads from a recent campaign. Lists update automatically as your data changes. Or ask Rep: "Make a list of companies I've met with in the last 30 days."

FAQ
My meeting brief is empty - why?
Briefs are generated only for meetings with external attendees, so internal meetings don't get one. For a first meeting, the brief draws on public information about the attendees, and it gets richer as your history with them grows.
Where do I find past recordings?
Go to Meetings in the left sidebar. Filter by date or search by company or attendee name.
Do I need to manually link meetings to deals?
Clarify attempts to link meetings automatically based on attendees and related companies. If a meeting isn't linked correctly, open the meeting record and update the deal association manually.
What if I don't want to record a specific meeting?
Before the call, go to the meeting record in Clarify and disable recording for that meeting. Or set your personal recording preference to "None" in Settings → Account → Email and meetings (unless your admin has locked the recording setting for everyone).
Rep doesn't know about something from a meeting - why?
Rep reads meeting summaries, transcripts, and notes. If a specific detail from a call isn't appearing, check that the meeting was recorded and that a summary was generated. To change what a summary captures, set the correct meeting type - it decides which summary template is used. Templates are in Settings → Workspace → Intelligence.
