Most of a call's value comes after it - the summary, the follow-up, the CRM updates. Clarify turns a recorded meeting into all of that automatically. This playbook walks the loop from recording a call to acting on it.
Start by recording the meeting
Everything here depends on Clarify recording the meeting - summaries, tasks, and follow-ups all draw on the transcript. There are two ways to record:
Bot recorder - joins the call as a participant on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Turn it on in Settings → Workspace → Email and meetings → Meeting recording (External only is a good default).
Local recorder - records on your Mac with no bot in the call. Requires the Clarify desktop app.
Recording itself is free.
Get an automatic summary
When a recorded meeting ends, Clarify writes a summary from the transcript and emails it to participants on your workspace domain. Assign a meeting type (discovery, demo, onboarding) to control the format - each type can have its own summary template, and Clarify ships five to start.
Let tasks create themselves
Clarify pulls the clear action items out of each recorded meeting and creates tasks, linked back to the meeting and to any related deal. Find them on the Tasks page, your Home page, and the meeting, deal, person, and company records. Choose which meetings generate tasks - External, All, or None - in Settings → Intelligence.
Ask the meeting anything
Open any meeting and ask Rep about it - "what did they commit to," "draft me a recap" - drawing on the summary, your notes, and the full transcript. Chatting with a meeting is free and doesn't use credits.
Send the follow-up
From a meeting page, click Email participants to open a draft with the attendees and meeting context loaded, then have Rep write the follow-up from what was actually discussed. Review and send.
Automate the whole loop
Once you trust the flow, hand it to an agent. A post-meeting agent can update the deal and log next steps from the transcript, or draft the follow-up straight to your email drafts - every time a meeting is recorded, without you touching it.
Good to know
Recording is required for summaries, tasks, follow-up drafts, and chatting with a meeting - third-party recordings aren't supported.
Recording is free; the post-meeting AI (summaries, briefings, tasks) uses credits. Chatting with a meeting is free.
Changing a meeting's type doesn't regenerate a summary that already exists - use Rewrite summaries to reprocess.
