Notifications

Clarify keeps you informed about important activity through notifications. You'll receive notifications in three ways: inside the app, email, and Slack.

Written by Michael Simmons

Clarify notifies you about the things you'd otherwise have to watch for - mentions, activity on records you follow, tasks assigned to you, and what your agents are doing. Notifications arrive across three channels, and you choose which events reach you by email and in-app.

Notification channels

  • In-app - in the Notifications inbox inside Clarify

  • Email - sent to your inbox

  • Slack - sent to your connected Slack workspace

What you get notified about

  • Mentions - someone @mentions you in a comment

  • Activity on records you follow - comments and status changes on records you're subscribed to

  • Tasks and deals - a task assigned to you, becoming a deal owner, and deal or field suggestions

  • Agents - an agent needs your approval, or a run fails

  • Account and system events - account disconnected, billing and credit alerts, a campaign paused, a lead import finishing, your daily briefing, and (if enabled) an external meeting summary sent to attendees outside your workspace

Follow records to get their activity

Subscribe to a record to be notified about all activity on it. Two ways to subscribe:

  1. Manually - click Subscribe on the record

  2. Automatically - comment on a record and Clarify subscribes you

Choose what reaches you

Go to Settings → Account → Notifications. Each notification type has its own toggles - Email, In-app, or both, depending on the type ("Daily briefing" is email-only; "Campaign paused" is in-app only). Turn each on or off independently.

The Email and In-app toggles don't control Slack. Slack delivery follows your Slack connection - connect or disconnect it from the Slack tile in Connectors. See Slack for Slack notification details.

Troubleshooting

Not getting a notification you expect? Check that its Email or In-app toggle is on in Settings → Account → Notifications, and - for record activity - that you're subscribed to the record.

Daily briefing not arriving on some days? The daily briefing only sends on days when you have meetings scheduled (with at least one other person, starting after 7am local time) or tasks due today. On days with neither, no briefing will be sent - this is expected behavior.

Still getting the daily briefing after disconnecting your calendar? Disconnecting stops Clarify from syncing new calendar data, but meetings that were already synced while you were connected stay in your account - so they can still appear in the daily briefing on the day they're scheduled. To stop the emails, turn off the Email toggle for "Daily briefing" in Settings → Account → Notifications.

Want to stop external attendees from receiving a meeting summary? Turn off the Email toggle for "External meeting summary" in Settings → Account → Notifications. Workspace-domain participants keep receiving their copy - this toggle only controls the copy sent to attendees outside your workspace.
